Lakehaven Golf and Country Club is an "open to the public", semi-private golf course designed and built in 1983. Located on 72 acres in southern Meigs County, Tennessee, on a peninsula along the beautiful Hiwassee River, this 9 hole, par 36 course boasts carpet-like Bermuda grass fairways and lush bent grass greens. Water comes into play in the form of a spring-fed creek and several ponds on five of the nine holes. Mature trees line the fairways and wild geese can be seen and heard on and around the water. Lucky golfers may even catch sight of one of several bald eagles that nest on the bluffs near the river.
Lakehaven has three sets of tees on each hole and has a total measurement of 3200, 3100, and 3030 yards. The holes range in length from the two par 3's at 150-200 yards to the two par 5's at 485-540 yards. With three sets of tees, Lakehaven offers golfers of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy a great round of golf. The course rating is 36.8 with a Slope of 114.
The golf club's amenities include a newly remodeled Clubhouse, covered deck, indoor and outdoor snack areas, bar (adults only), pro shop, practice putting green, chipping practice area, and two tennis courts. The course is open year-round, weather permitting.
